This is an inexpensive upgrade which is very often overlooked. These Hubbell outlets ensure your power cords make a positive contact, their tight grip helps keep today's heavier power cords from sagging and pulling themselves from the outlet. Please note: The Hubbell outlets have changed recently, the brass mounting strap has been replaced with a zinc plated steel strap. We keep these outlets on the site because some older homes with narrow receptacle boxes will only accept these narrow outlets. The 5362 and 5262 heavy duty outlets are much wider and will not fit the narrow box.
